Heavy rain prompts flood concerns in Brooklyn
There is a potential for coastal flooding in Brooklyn Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
As much as 2 inches of rain had already fallen in the morning, and forecasters expect additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches.

The weather service says excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas, and low-lying areas.
The weather service recommends not driving in areas where water covers roads, warning that the water depth may be too great to allow cars to cross safely.
The rain is expected to clear up by Tuesday.
