Funeral held for boy who fell 5 stories in Williamsburg

Mourners attended a funeral Thursday for the 5-year-old Williamsburg boy who fell to his death from a fifth-floor balcony on Wednesday.

The funeral for Shimon Meisels was held at Shopron synagogue, the same synagogue where his grandfather has been a rabbi for decades.

As News 12 has reported, Meisels fell from a balcony at 200 Wallabout St. around 7:45 p.m. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Police say the boy's parents were home at the time of the fall.
