Mermaid Parade brings artistry, mythology to Coney Island

King Neptune and his fish-tailed friends filled Coney Island Saturday during the 34th annual Mermaid Parade.



Mermaids of all shapes, colors and sizes marched down Surf Avenue before turning onto the boardwalk.



Part of the goals of the parade is bring mythology to life for residents along nearby Mermaid and Neptune avenues and serve as an outlet for artistic expression in the community.



Those who attended the parade are encouraged to share their photos with News 12.
