Many pray for peace at Hindu temple

More than a hundred people gathered to pray for peace at a Hindu temple in East New York.
Sunday wrapped up 21 days of fasting and prayer as part of Karagam Puja, a ceremony of faith healing.
The tradition was passed down from India and made its way to Guyana where the founder started the temple organization, Shri Maha Kali Devi Mandir Inc.
The temple on Van Siclen Avenue is dedicated to teaching universal peace, compassion and tolerance.
The organization is also encouraging devotees to donate in any way they can to help families of those killed in Orlando.
