Police ID man killed in hit-and-run

Police say Matthew Von Ohlen was riding his bike when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning in Williamsburg.

As News 12 reported the 35-year-old was hit just after 2:30 a.m. in front of 690 Grand St.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the vehicle that hit Von Ohlen is a black Chevy Camaro with gold New York license plates.

Investigators say it appears the bicyclist was in the bike lane when he was hit.
