Horticulture volunteers say donated flowers from a Bay Ridge park have been stolen.
Volunteers from Owl's Head Park Horticulture Group say they have been taking care of the flower beds in the park for years and are upset with the recent theft.
"It's been one missing there, one missing here, a rose bush there. I think it's just a crime of opportunity. Some of our members have different theories about it, but it's just someone who is very selfish," says Dave Matthews, one of the volunteers.
The group says it will continue to transform the park one flower at a time.
"If you need a plant ask us. Don't do it. Don't take it from us. It's for everyone, for the whole neighborhood," says volunteer Yanina Yuditsya.
