Community leaders hold prayer rally in East Flatbush
Community leaders gathered in East Flatbush Sunday for a prayer rally following several shootings involving police around the country.
More than 50 people, including church leaders, activists and residents gathered at Church and Utica avenues to pray and sing.
They say they hope their prayers can begin to help heal the social wounds that were ripped open in the past week.
Activists say the message that has to be heard is that enough is enough and that their goal through the rally is to seek justice.
This rally won't be enough, according to community leaders, unless they continue to pressure for justice now and in the future.
The group Churches United to Save and Heal organized the rally to pray for justice and for healing.
