Brooklyn commuters concerned over express F train plan
Some Brooklyn commuters aren't too happy about the MTA's planned express service on the F train.
A petition is demanding officials to rethink the details.
The F train would skip six stations between downtown and Kensington under the proposal.
Erin Lippincott, who started the online petition and now has thousands joining in the fight, says the MTA should be transparent and work with commuters instead of making a proposal that could potentially negatively affect the entire borough.
"The MTA's own report says this plan hurts more than it helps and in a burgeoning borough like this, that's insane," she says.
Many straphangers say the plan should boost service at local stops as well.
News 12 reached out to the MTA for comment on the proposal but has not yet received a response.
