Hundreds gathered at Grand Army Plaza Monday for a candlelight vigil to honor the lives lost in the shooting tragedies that affected the nation last week.

Brooklyn residents, clergy and elected officials came together at the borough's historic landmark to pray for the two men fatally shot in Louisiana and Minnesota, along with the five police officers killed in Dallas, Texas last week.

People from all walks of life and faiths prayed for an end to violence and for the healing of police-community relations in Brooklyn and around the country.
