A man sprayed two people in the face with an unknown chemical substance after an argument near a Brooklyn subway, police say.

It happened Tuesday around 4 p.m. at the Barclays Center subway station.

Police say the suspect got into an argument with a 48-year-old man and 45-year-old woman while inside an elevator.

Once the elevator stopped, police say the suspect followed the victims to the mezzanine area of Pacific Street R subway station and sprayed the two victims in the face with the substance before running away.

Both the victims were transported to Brooklyn Hospital and treated for burns to their face and eyes.

The suspect is described as a man being 6'0'' tall, 300 pounds and was last seen wearing a black do-rag, a green and black T-shirt, a brown jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
