The Bagel Store in Williamsburg will introduce its newest menu item this weekend.
The "mufgel" is a combination of a muffin and a bagel, says manager Scarlen Espinal.
The idea started when employee Scott Rossillo heard a radio commercial for the New York Lottery bringing up the idea for a muffin-bagel.
"I'm like, you know what, it's a great idea," Rossillo said.
It took weeks for Rossillo to create the perfect recipe for the mufgel, which he says he won't be giving out.
Customers can purchase their mufgels when they arrive on Saturday for $3.50.
