NYPD stats: Major crimes down sharply in BK's 76th Precinct

Statistics from the NYPD show that crime is down in a group of Brooklyn neighborhoods.
The 76th Precinct is reporting a steep decline in major crimes, which include murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, felony assaults, grand larceny and carjackings.
Overall, there have been 69 fewer major crimes compared to this time last year, marking a 21 percent reduction.
Burglaries in particular have seen a strong decline in the precinct, with a 46 percent drop since the start of the year.
The precinct covers Red Hook, Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill.
