Police search for suspect who set 7 trucks on fire
Police are in search of a possible arsonist who they say is potentially linked to several trailer fires over the weekend.
Officials say seven parked tractor-trailers were set on fire at multiple locations, starting from Essex Street and Stanley Avenue Sunday around 3 a.m.
No one was injured in the fire and none of the drivers were at the scene at the time of the incident.
Five out of the seven trailers were owned by TTS. TTS' CFO tells News 12 that the company is deeply saddened by the events that have taken place over the past weekend and few months. They are deeply concerned for the safety of their operators and the public safety of their community.
A truck driver who works in the area says fires like these have been happening for months, especially during night hours when most companies are closed.
Private investigators are working together with police on the case.
