Residents voice concerns about South Park Slope zoning plan
Developers may soon be restricted as to what type of buildings they can erect on certain streets in South Park Slope. Community Board 7 held a public hearing Wednesday on a plan to limit building heights on some streets and allow taller buildings on others. At the meeting, many residents voiced their concerns about the plan. The proposal calls for limited building heights on residential streets, with taller buildings on commercial roads. The board is expected to pass its recommendation to Borough President Marty Markowitz and then the plan will go back to the city planning board for final approval.
