Beat goes on in Williamsburg for Puerto Rican Day Parade

Brooklyn residents came together Sunday to celebrate their heritage at the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade

Parade attendants waving red, white and blue flags lined up along Graham Avenue in Williamsburg. Parade organizers say the festival, which began in 1994, is a fiesta to show others the richness of Puerto Rican culture in Brooklyn.

Organizers also say this year Brooklyn residents from other Latin American countries also came out for the festivities.
