Organization helps Brooklyn teachers teach more and spend less
World Vision, is helping Brooklyn teachers by donating various school supplies.
World Vision says New York school teachers spend up to $750 out of pocket on various supplies. To help teachers continue teaching and not spending, the international Christian relief and development program gave teachers free school supplies such as crayons, paper and pencils. The organization is also donating free backpacks to children from low-income families.
The 2005-2006 school year marks the third year World Vision has supplied learning tools to Brooklyn teachers and students.
