Economic Development Corporation looking to occupy empty warehouse in Red Hook

With piers 11 and 12 set to be used for cruise lines, the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is now looking to occupy an empty warehouse in Red Hook.

The EDC is planning to build a $30 million cruise ship terminal. It is accepting proposals from the public for how to make use of the 270,000-square foot warehouse that was once used to store shipping containers.

The city will be accepting offers to take over the space temporarily until it can find a permanent tenant. Proposals will be accepted until September 2.
