City Council members vow to stop violence in Flatlands

City Council members are calling for unity after a string of hate crimes in the Flatlands area.

Officials vow to end this disturbing violence but say the recent attacks are isolated incidents and not a trend.

The latest attack occurred this weekend when a black man was robbed and beaten by eight purported white men. A few days before this incident, a Jewish man was attacked on his way home. Previous to that attack, a Hatzolah ambulance?s tires were slashed.
