Brooklyn police search for up to eight suspects in possible biased attack

Police say the robbery and beating of a 29-year-old black man on East 59th Street in Old Mill Basin may have been racially motivated.

Authorities say they are searching for up to eight white men in the possibly biased attack. Police say the suspects attacked the victim with pipes and baseball bats near the Avenue N intersection not far from a street fair. According to investigators, the man was robbed and racial slurs were uttered.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is in serious but stable condition.
