Education officials report an increase in non-criminal activity at BK impact schools
Although violent crime is down, Department of Education officials report that non-criminal activity has increased in Brooklyn and city impact schools.
A report released by education officials states that for the 2003-2004 school year, violent crime decreased while the number of non-criminal incidents doubled. Non-criminal activity includes things such as harassment, bullying and cheating.
Department of Education officials attribute the spike to having more eyes catching students in the act.
