Jewish community leaders in Crown Heights calling recent vandalism a hate crime

A reward is being offered for information leading to arrests of those responsible for slashing tires.

Community leaders say witnesses saw a group of people slash the tires sometime on Friday night when they were parked on Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue. They believe what happened is a hate crime. Residents in the area say this is not the first case of vandalism.

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council is offering a $1,000 reward.
