Non-violent crusader remembered on the streets of Crown Heights

Former councilman James Davis will be remembered on the streets of Crown Heights.

Brooklyn residents honored the crusader against urban violence by co-naming Nostrand Avenue as James E. Davis Avenue. The ceremony comes on the two-year anniversary of Davis? death.

Davis, who died at 41, was fatally shot by a political rival. There is already a library named in his honor; the Jame E. Davis Library.
