Brooklyn-based organization committed to helping legally blind workers find jobs

A non-profit organization based in Brooklyn is providing job opportunities to a group of individuals who say it's tough to find work.

New York City Industries for the Blind is a group committed to helping legally blind workers find jobs. The workers are trained to sew Army and Air Force uniforms, make brooms and mops from scratch, and print a variety of stationary products. Many say the organization provides them with great opportunities and a chance to fulfill their dreams.

The organization is the only one of its kind in Brooklyn.
