Farm fresh vegetables now available in Bushwick thanks to VT farmer

Farm fresh vegetables are now available in Bushwick thanks to a lone farmer from Vermont.

The New York Department of Health says healthy food is hard to find in area?s like Bushwick. Greenmarket is the result of grass roots organizations that want to fight various health issues plaguing the area.

Ras Oba drives four hours from Vermont to sell his vegetables in Bushwick. Oba says he does it because everyone should have access to healthy food. Greenmarket has only been open for two weeks, but it is already looking to expand. It is open every Wednesday until November from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
