2 firefighters hospitalized after Crown Heights fire
Two city firefighters were hospitalized this morning after suffering severe burns in Crown Heights. The firefighters were searching for victims on the top floor of 1102 Prospect Place when one of the men jumped out of the window after being set on fire. "He's got burns, second- and third-degree burns over 30 percent of his body," FDNY Union President Steve Cassidy said. "He was literally on fire when he came out that window." FDNY officials say both firefighters are in stable condition at the Weill Cornell Burn Center.
They also say the fire does not appear suspicious.
