Grand jury to discuss shooting of police officer in Brooklyn
A grand jury is expected to discuss the fatal shooting of NYPD officer Peter Figoski.
A lawyer for all five suspects, including the alleged gunman Lamont Pride, says he does not believe the suspects will be present for today's hearing. The five suspects are currently being held at Riker's Island. The hearing is also expected to be closed door. Four of the suspects were charged with second-degree murder, while Pride was charged with first-degree murder.
Figoski, a 27-year veteran, died after being shot in the face Monday while investigating an alleged armed robbery in Cypress Hills.
