BK tenants rally for rent law reform

More than a dozen tenants rallied outside of a rent stabilization association meeting in Park Slope yesterday, pushing for stronger rent regulations.

Some of the protesters were advocates from the Real Rent Reform campaign. They were joined at the rally by City Councilman Brad Lander.

Rent regulation laws currently in place apply to more than one million apartments citywide. They are set to expire this June.

The advocates at the rally say the laws should be strengthened and extended.
