State officials crack down on tour bus companies

State officials say they are taking action to get bad buses off the roads after a Brooklyn-based bus was involved in an accident that killed 15 people.

Officials say the driver of that bus, Ophadell Williams, had an extensive rap sheet, including a suspended driver's license.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered surprise inspections of tour buses over the weekend. The inspections took 16 out of 26 buses that were checked off the road.

Officials say they were looking to make sure driver's had the right papers, or if the buses had proper brake pressure.
