Teen accused of beating BK toddler

The 19-year-old boyfriend of an East New York foster mother was formally charged today in the beating of a toddler.

Police say Kysheen Oliver beat 17-month-old Kymell Orem so badly that he suffered three broken ribs and a crushed spleen.

Oliver is being charged with assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) says it is investigating the incident and has placed the two other children from the home into agency custody.

An ACS spokesperson says all adults living in a prospective foster home must be fingerprinted and cleared through the state central registry for abuse and neglect.
