Police: Man swallows drugs, dies during attempted arrest

Police say a Brooklyn man died after ingesting drugs during an attempted arrest in Boerum Hill tonight, but witnesses argue that it looked like officers beat him.

According to authorities, they went to the Wyckoff Houses on Wyckoff Street to break up a drug deal. They say that while trying to arrest one of the suspects, he swallowed the drugs and started fighting the officers.

Police say the man then appeared to be having a seizure and was rushed to the hospital where he died, but residents say they believe the cops choked him to death.

Officials say the man had a history of drug arrests and charges.
