Police probe 17-month-old hospitalized in critical condition

Police say they are investigating how a 17-month-old boy wound up hospitalized in critical condition yesterday morning.

Officers say they responded to a call at 365 Fountain Ave. where they found a toddler with bruising on his body.

A family friend says the boy lives with his foster mother Tiana Cummings and that it is hard to believe Cummings would hurt the little boy.

Some neighbors say Cummings' young boyfriend was in the home at the time the incident happened.

Police say they haven't made any arrests in the case and are continuing to investigate.
