Police: Body found in Newtown Creek

Police say they are trying to identify the body of a man found in Newtown Creek today.

Authorities say the man was pulled from the creek, on the border of Greenpoint and Queens, just after 1 p.m. Investigators say he is between 30 and 40 years old.

According to sources, he may have been homeless and fell in the water, but could not swim. The medical examiner is now working to figure out how he died.
