P.S. 170 students take part in new sugarless initiative

Students at P.S. 170 in Bay Ridge are taking part in a new program aimed at cutting down the amount of processed sugar they intake.

As a part of "Sugarless Wednesdays," students learned about the damage sugar does to teeth. They also wrote down what they ate over the last week and brought in labels to see how much sugar was in the food.

The initiative by the American Dental Association helps kids learn how what you eat affects your teeth and your body.
