BK businesses hurting from rising gas prices
Brooklyn business owners say rising gas prices are hurting their bottom line.
Currently, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in New York is $3.76, up 14 cents from last week and more than 80 cents a gallon compared to a year ago.
Business owners say they hope the government will tap into the country's reserves to keep costs from spiking even more, as they're concerned about increased costs for delivered goods and travel.
Owners say the last thing they want to do is pass the cost onto the customer, but if prices keep rising, they say they might have to do it.
