Local mom-and-pops worry over Brooklyn Walmart

Brooklyn mom-and-pop shop owners say they are worried over the possibility of retail giant Walmart opening its doors in East New York.

Up and down the streets of neighboring Bushwick, small business owners are mostly in agreement that they don't want a Walmart in the borough. Owners say they won't be able to compete with the retailer's reduced prices.

Edgar Andrade says his hardware and 99-cents store does well because residents find a variety of items they can't buy anywhere else. He says that will change if Walmart moves in.
