Attacked cabbie sounds horn on driver safety
A Brooklyn cab driver who was recently beaten and robbed says the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission should think more about their drivers? safety.
Mohammed Latif says he was attacked early Saturday morning. He says a passenger he picked up seemed drunk, but that he wanted to adhere to the law that he can't refuse someone.
The driver says when he realized the guy could be trouble, he told him to not pay and just leave. He says the passenger then beat him up and stole his cab.
Latif says he has not been back to work since the attack and is waiting for a new cab.
