Tenants complain of broken elevator in 6-story building

Tenants in a Crown Heights apartment building say they've been living in their six-story building without a working elevator for the past three months.

According to residents, the management company has told them several times that the elevator at their Albany Avenue home will be fixed, but they have yet to see any repairs.

Many elderly tenants say it's very difficult for them to walk up and down the stairs every day. One man living on an upper floor says he has knee problems and a heart condition that make the situation even worse.

The residents say the building's superintendent has now said the elevator will be fixed by Thursday. News 12 Brooklyn reached out to management, but has not heard back.
