Judgment Day believers claim world will end on May 21
Former MTA worker and author of 'The Doomsday Code,' Robert Fitzpatrick says the world will end tomorrow.
Fitzpatrick and many others have spent hundreds of thousands in a campaign to warn people about Judgment Day. The prediction was first touted by California evangelist Harold Camping who used biblical math to come up with the date.
Camping has predicted the end of world once before - on Sept. 6, 1994. When the sun rose on Sept. 7, Camping admitted he might have had that one wrong.
Camping began warning of doomsday through media ads around Christmas last year and limited the campaign to the West Coast. However, Fitzpatrick had almost solely funded the campaign in New York.
Anti-religion groups say the MTA should never have allowed the ad blitz.
