Tenants protest disrepair of Park Slope building

Angry tenants took to the streets of Park Slope today demanding that repairs be made to their building.

Organizers of the tenant rally say National Bank of New York City lent more than $1 million to the previous owner of 294 Fifth Ave. They say the bank knew rent from the building wouldn't even cover half the mortgage. The previous owner defaulted on the loan, and left the foreclosed building in disrepair, tenants say.

Calls from News 12 Brooklyn to the National Bank of New York City have not been returned.
