Shooting in Cypress Hills leaves 2 injured

Police are searching for two suspects who they say shot up a party on Grant Avenue in Cypress Hills last night, leaving two people wounded, including a 12-year-old-boy who was shot in the leg.

Police say the shooting of the young boy was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A 32-year-old man, who officials say has an extensive drug-arrest record, was shot in the torso. Police believe that he was the intended target, while neighbors say he does not live in the house where the shooting occurred.

Both victims are in stable condition in the hospital. Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
