Tight security set for Obama's ground zero visit

Scores of officers will be teeming through the streets of New York City for President Obama's visit.

Residents are urged to avoid driving into Manhattan Thursday and are encouraged to take public transportation. Streets are subject to closures, most likely in lower Manhattan and in Midtown. PATH service into the World Trade Center station will besuspended for about an hour around noon Thursday.

Obama plans to visit ground zero to lay a wreath and visit withSept. 11 families and emergency workers. He is not scheduled to make any remarks.

Officials say NYPD officers, Secret Service and the FBI will all be working together to secure the city.

Police officials say there are no specific threats against thecity.
