9/11 first responder applauds troops for killing bin Laden

Bronx resident and Sept. 11 first responder Gabriel Pacino says he was more than happy to learn of Osama bin Laden's death last night.

In an interview with News 12, Pacino, who developed an illness after helping at Ground Zero, said bin Laden's death gives a sense of closure to families who lost loved ones on Sept.11, as well as to those suffering from illness due to the cleanup.

Pacino said after the news broke, his phone rang non-stop due to other first responders calling to share the same sentiment, grateful that the man who has caused so much pain to so many Americans is now dead.

He said he is also so thankful to the men and women serving in the military overseas for everything that they do.
