What's Cool at School: Zumba classes raise money for American Cancer Society
The Zumba craze has taken over some Brooklyn schools, and it's all for a good cause.
About 300 kids from P.S. 236 are among those dancing to the beat to raise money for the American Cancer Society as part of its "Fight Back with Fitness" program.
Officials say the Mill Basin school raised more than $1,500 from its Zumba classes.
Volunteer and Relay for Life organizer Joseph Gillette says that Zumba classes started out in just one school, but have expanded to 15 elementary and junior high schools, raising $10,000 overall.
