Obama signs 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal
President Barack Obama signed legislation today that repeals the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
It repeals a 17-year-old ban on openly gay men and women from serving in the U.S. military.
Supporters call the change a civil rights milestone.
Military leaders still need to certify that the military can put the repeal in place and then there will be a 60-day waiting period before the ban will officially be removed from the books.
