3-alarm fire in Clinton Hill displaces 5 families
Fire officials say a contractor has been charged after a three-alarm fire displaced five Brooklyn families this afternoon.
Firefighters say the blaze engulfed the second and third floors of a three-story private residence at 812 Kent Ave. in Clinton Hill.
According to the FDNY's Twitter page, contractor Efran Ordonez-Lanshi, of Ordonez Construction, has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment for allegedly using an illegal torch on a combustible roof.
Officials say no injuries were reported. The Red Cross is providing assistance for the displaced residents.
