Brooklyn residents try to keep warm as temperatures plummet

Frigid temperatures remained in Brooklyn today after the borough?s first snowfall coated streets with flurries yesterday.

While the snow has been cleared, wind chills have brought a deep freeze to the borough with temperatures in the teens.

The cold temperatures prompted the city to issue a ?Code Blue.? It means the Department of Homeless Services will be doubling its efforts to get people off of the streets and into shelters.

Residents said braving the cold is difficult and they hope it warms up soon.
