BK community seeks ways to curb crime

The latest NYPD statistics show the homicide rate is creeping up and in response, one Brooklyn community is trying its best to curb local crime.

Dozens of Cypress Hills residents attended an advisory board meeting this week on the issue. The neighborhood is one area that has seen a spike in crime.

Community leaders in Cypress Hills are urging residents to be proactive about crime by reporting any incidents to police and by using an anonymous tip sheet.
