Meeting held on replacing Coney Island boardwalk

Coney Island residents came together tonight to discuss possible replacements for the wooden planks that make up the boardwalk.

Last month, the Parks Department announced plans to switch part of the boardwalk to concrete because it says it is easier to maintain.

Zamperla, the company that opened the new Luna Park, says it's considering switching other parts of the boardwalk as well.

Some residents have said wood can last longer and is a more attractive option.
