New businesses set to open in Bay Ridge

Some business owners in Bay Ridge say they're looking forward to three new national chain stores that will be opening in the neighborhood.

Two new shoe stores put signs up today on 86th Street between 4th and 5th avenues. A new TJ Maxx is also supposed to open where the Circuit City once was.

One local business owner says he's looking forward to the stores opening because it will mean more foot traffic in the area, which will hopefully lead to a boost in his business.

A worker at one of the shoe stores says it plans to open by the end of this week. The new TJ Maxx is expected to be open in the spring.
