Concern grows for cyclists' safety after 2 are struck in BK
Brooklyn residents are concerned over cyclists' safety after two bikers were struck by cars within the past week.
Officials say the first accident happened along 5th Avenue Sunday when a man was hit by a 40-foot tour bus while riding in the middle of the street.
Cops say the second crash was a hit-and-run on 6th Avenue Tuesday. Police say the driver could face charges if found.
Residents say it's hard to tell who is at fault for the accidents because many cyclists ignore bike lanes, riding in the middle of traffic. Other drivers, they say, don't respect the bikers.
